山的雄壯，孕育了人們的豪情；水的柔軟，成就了人生的細膩，而二十一世紀是一個培養欣賞多元文化素養，尊重不同族群的地球村世紀，所以我們有了「山與海的對話」的構思。 四年級課程中，開啟了一扇孩子們體會和學習台灣原住民文化的窗口。贏得全縣原住民舞蹈大賽冠軍的花蓮縣鶴岡國小，因久聞本校長久致力於藝術與人文的深耕，為桃園縣藝術與人文教育特色學校，而特別率隊參訪本校相互觀摩。他們天籟般精采的歌舞表演，為這次的城鄉交流留下了美好的印記，也擴展了孩子們的視野。 來自遙遠純樸花蓮縣的原住民孩子們爽朗健康形象，深深的烙記在城市叢林的孩子們心中；而活躍於電視媒體，深受大眾愛戴的原住民歌手，張惠妹、范植偉、動力火車等人傑出的表現，讓我們在欽仰之餘，也想要窺探原住民神秘的面紗。
