「影像藝術」是呈現人類歷史與記憶的最佳寫照，包含記錄著過去歷史的史實，對人物的緬懷，及表達對土地與風俗民情發展的紀實。透過今年的教育展來學習發現藝術家關懷自己的生活環境，表達創作的思想、情感，及成長的時代意涵。本展規劃成三個學習區：包含（一）「影像之美」區（二）「影像美學」區：「影像表現對照」展示、「技法與美」、「暗房與明室」（三）「影像創作」區等。透過影像藝術的教學，讓兒童可以增進其視覺藝術的學習內涵，發現人類生活與文化的價值。因為「影像藝術」是最能勾起人們回憶與締造歷史見證的藝術創作形式之一，由現今於數位相機的發達與藝術創作的多元化，當代的影像藝術創造出一種全新的視覺感受，無時無刻地圍繞在我們的生活周遭，成為生活上不可或缺的工具外，並具有頌揚人類生命菁華與求新精神的價值，本館特別鼓勵兒童來學習認識這項藝術，實具有嶄新的時代性意義。

The Egyptian goddess Maat, the personification of balance. The outline I traced from a photo of the a wall carving on the exterior of the tomb of Queen Nefertari, favorite queen of Rameses II. The colors came from a fresco inside the same tomb. In both cases, the photos depicted public domain art (the original carving and fresco were created approximately 3,250 years ago, well before anybody conceived of copyright). Since simple reproductions of existing public domain art do not qualify for copyright, they're fair game for derivative works.The SVG file has multiple layers so that individual areas can be shown, hidden, or re-colored selectively.
