This sound was achieved by moving the base of a metal bodied voice recorder over the strings on the bridge (body end) of an acoustic guitar. The sound was then stretched by about twice its original length using the resample method in Cool Edit 2.1 and processed with Ozone 4 and PSP Vintage Warmer. If you're interested in which recorder it's an Etekcity VR-BK8. Records in 48khz 16bit stereo. It's really only good for fairly close proximity recordings and not any use for field or general ambient recording. It will pick up from across an average sized room fairly well. I bought this mainly for sample processing and general abuse. No mic jack, but the onboards are ok.
