本影片所學為簡易故事The History of Hot Dog，故事內容在1900年時有個男人想要在紐約街頭販賣香腸(sausages)，他將香腸煮滾後放在熱水中。然而人們對香腸不感興趣，直到他大喊Get your hot dachshund sausages here!，因此有許多人前來購買他的香腸且他的故事也被一位新聞記者採訪及報導。男人不會拼dachshund這個字，因此把它稱為hot dog，這也就是hot dog名稱的由來。某日，客人忘了歸還拿香腸的手套，所以他跑了回去並且請男人給他麵包，讓他能盛裝熱狗。因此，他們意外發現了麵包與香腸搭配是個很棒的組合。這也就是我們現在所見到的熱狗。影片的最後，老師透過練習題檢視學生對故事內容的理解程度。
