新埔褒忠亭義民廟農曆7月20日的中元，是台灣現今最盛大的聯庄祭典。本片詳實記錄褒忠亭義民節祭典於甲午年（103年）新屋聯庄時的祭典儀式及有關文物。

彰化縣大興國小的六年甲班導師杜美慧老師讓學生從照顧流浪狗中，學習責任與面對生命的態度。學生不但改變自己做事態度甚至向社區推廣愛護生命的觀念。最後學生覺得小狗不僅是動物，他們是人類的同伴和朋友。

生活在太平洋西岸蘭嶼朗島的達悟族人，保留著「敬天愛地，保育生態的」生活文化。他們認為，芋頭是老天爺賜給的食物，他們用自然農耕法種芋頭，保留低矮伏爬的草，保護邊坡土壤。他們將自然資源當作神賜予的禮物，不貪求或過份取用。達悟族人對土地、海洋的親近與保護，值得大家學習。

五官深邃、個性爽朗的孫銘恒是熱愛家園、熱愛部落的排灣族人，在外歷練許久，最後依循內心對部落發展與延續的期許，決定回到故鄉牡丹貢獻一己之力。他以導覽員的身分，在引導遊客暢遊東源部落之餘，也機會教育部落孩童們對文化價值的認同，將傳承的種子深耕。
