特殊兒童因天生能力的限制，所以對於週遭環境的注意與了解是比較有限、被動的，不管是天氣的陰晴變化或者是季節的冷熱替換，甚或鳥叫蟲鳴、花開花謝、常見動物...等，都需老師們一歩一歩的引導認識；所以課程在編排上以生活經驗為核心，實用性與功能性並重，並且因應學生們的能力與個別差異，以循序漸進的方式進行教學。

提供大量的高畫質照片，搭配聲音的播放，讓使用者可以透過圖片與聲音認識各種動物、交通工具、樂器以及生活周遭的事物。 楊銘富 Sound Touch 在低年級的生活課程中，會介紹許多的動物，但是往往無法直接讓學生以真實的動物來觀察，只能透過照片來做說明，但鮮少有真實的動物聲音可以聆聽。另外，在中、高年級的自然課程中，有個篇章在介紹聲音，此軟體有整個樂器的圖片與聲音，包含了打擊樂器、管樂器與弦樂器，透過觀賞圖片搭配不同音色的樂音，讓學生可以了解該項樂器發出的聲音。雖然比不上實物的學習，但至少可以彌補課堂上的不足。另外，使用的技巧上，我建議先放出聲音，讓學生猜測該聲音是何種動物、樂器或交通工具，然後再公布畫面，會加深學生的學習經驗。例如，我先放出斑馬的聲音，但全班及無人能識，在公布畫面的時候，學生一臉不可置信，但再次聽到類似的聲音時，便會連結到斑馬了。
