1916 Victor Victrola VV-XI phonograph. This is the sound of the needle stuck at the end of a 78 record after it has finished playing. Then a mechanical switch is operated which slows the turntable to a stop. Mic position was above the machine pointed down towards the turntable. Recorded with a Sennheiser MKH-416 into a Zoom F8 recorder.
