George Santayana: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." It is good to remember even the sad parts of history, and America (and even other parts of the world) have a sad history of enslaving other human beings. Thats a somber thought next time you think your job is difficult, at least you are getting paid (I hope!) and live in a society where people think of you as an equal (I hope!)... lets just hope this sad past remains the past, and never our future.
