苦伕寮原為日治時期鐵道工人(苦伕)上班派工、存放工具、休息的房屋，歲月更迭之下，房屋殘破朽壞，所幸有一群熱愛家鄉的志工齊心修復、認養，如今已蛻變重生，幻化為一處從事公益慈善活動的優勝美地。

　　「苔蘚兄妹」是一篇原住民古老的互助生態傳說，呈現賽夏族傳統生活價值，也傳達大自然生態的運作，與原住民族友善的與大自然共生滅。此故事背景包含山林與海洋生態，不僅傳遞生物間互助的溫暖，也傳達生態保育及生物多樣性概念。　　故事是這樣開始的，來自海洋的苔蘚兄妹，踏上陸地之後，走進森林，遇到了各式各樣的動植物，在互相幫忙、相處下，成為森林裡的一份子。而與賽夏族的相遇，則是發生在賽夏族的男子成年禮考驗中，名為亞洛的孩子，在考驗中遇險，巧遇了苔蘚兄妹的故事......
