平常不易到鐵工廠了解各種材料的樣貌並與課堂知識中的2D圖片做連結。一方面可讓學生方便、安全的到虛擬鐵工廠中，觀看各種輕型鋼材料，並完成根據撿料單撿取三種型鋼的任務；另一方面，本單元可帶出整體任務目的，加深學生理解對於「利用標準規格材料即可快速完成一棟輕型鋼構建築」。

藉由觀察虛擬框組板式LGS建築實例，了解LGS建築之組成構件與特色。
