a few sounds recorded from my mini-crossbow. includes a toss/midair grab, arming and firing it twice. i had to hold the cord while releasing the tension so it wouldn't hit the two metal bars used to arm it and break more. the bits of firing it sound a bit like silenced pistol to me...

Stream sounds recorded in Castle Rock State Park, California, on a small creek crossing the Saratoga Gap Trail close to the Interconnector Trail, by a little waterfall. 25 January, 2016.After significant rainfall, the creeks were much more active than they had been for a while.Recording setup was ORTF, positioned at the edge of the streams, using two Sennheiser MKH8040s, into a Roland R-26 recorder. High frequencies have been boosted to compensate for the windshields used.

I decided to create four sounds around the theme of a thief coming in a place shooting someone/something and running away after the alarm had rung. This sound of footsteps is used for the coming of the thief in the place. Walking slowly, this woman shows she is confident about what she is going to do. For this, I used a recorded sound of someone walking. I put a noise reduction first to just keep the main sound.
