1916 Victor Victrola VV-XI phonograph.This is the sound of the needle stuck at the end of a 78 record after it has finished playing. The lid of the phonograph is down, then it is opened to operate the mechanical switch which slows the turntable to a stop.Mic position was in front the machine pointed towards the open horn doors.Recorded with a Sennheiser MKH-416 into a Zoom F8 recorder.

Microphone Used: SM58, Tascam DR-07 MKII DAW Used: AudacityObjects Used: Gathered 'woosh' noises from personal library (bamboo & plastics sticks swung past microphone). Pitched up highly, added synths and paulstretched slightly. Then used envelopes to create the fly-by.
