本教案透過動物比賽情境故事引起學生學習動機，藉由觀察各種動物的跑步動畫，讓學生將動物跑步快慢的概念與音符的節拍長短概念相互連結。教學過程中，教師透過觸控電視與平板電腦，呈現出跑步動畫、動物圖片、音符圖片與音符節拍記號，再搭配特殊音樂，讓學生在學習過程中，從模擬動物跑步到熟悉繪出音符的記號與辨識其節拍的長短，都能呈現出高昂的興致與專注力，同時也能產生非常深的學習印象。
