One sound taken from the 'Microblocks, vol.1' percussive found sound sample-pack. This was originally an editorial drawing honouring the dead in the Civil War and respecting those that were (at that time!) still alive. It's a strong mix of patriotic pride and thunderous grief for the dead and a reflection on the horrors of war; I thought it was poetic.
