Raw audio of the solar eclipse soundscape at 92% totality just north-west of Jacksonville, Florida in Callahan. This recording is the second part of the 3rd recording that was started at 3:21PM and ends at 4:00PM (a few minutes before the end of the event).The audio is raw except that I removed a few scattered seconds of artifacts and clicks. With the storm gone, it seems all of the airplanes suddenly returned. This is the original file that was recorded at 96kHz/24-bit stereo.This sound is NOT in the public domain. 2016-06-19Logan, OhioIn late spring 2016, seventeen-year cicadas emerged in a section of the United States that includes eastern Ohio. The cicadas crawl out of the ground, shed their skins, and climb up into the trees. One cicada makes a loud and distinctive sound, but a whole group of them creates a dull roar.This recording was made outside a residence in Logan, Ohio, toward the end of the cicada emergence. The roar of cicadas is gone, and only a few individuals can be heard now.Sound recorded using the built-in mic on an iPhone 5.

Recorded on July 26, 2002 close to the movie isle at Webster's Department Store.This is how the webster's checkout area sounded from 2002 to 2007.Note: this is a little shorter than the others.This is part of a pack of 4k sounds recorded over 17 years commemorating my friend's department store which she owned.It showcases how the sounds in the store have changed over the years as the technology of the store changes.Each recording is done within a week after the cash registers are upgraded.As of the date of this posting, Webster's is now closed, and will re-open as a WalMart in January of 2016.
