A little dare I am running with user gis_sweden.The challenge was to create a sound where 2 oscillators cross-modulate each other.gis_sweden will use his modular synth. I will use my virtual modular synth Kamiooka.You can hear gis_sweden's sound here:http://freesound.org/people/gis_sweden/sounds/346401/My sound looks very interesting if you change the display mode to spectral.For this sound, I tried to focus on the region of cross-modulation values that produce an interesting sound.The parameters I have used:2 sin oscillatorscross-modulate each other (FM)Cross-modulation ramps up linearly from 25 to 50% during 20 bars at 120bpmCreated with Kamiooka in Ableton LiveSound converted to mono in Audacity. No effects or processing.
