Self noise + tape hiss from my Roland RE-201 Space Echo. Repeat mode 3. For this pack I sampled the first four modes (echo, no spring reverb) from a much-loved, rarely-serviced Space Echo with a pretty old tape. Recording chain: RE-201 > RME Fireface 400 line in w/ 12db boost. 32bit float wav. No signal was fed in, so what you hear is the unit's self-generated noise. Intensity (feedback) set to zero. Repeat rate set to lowest, with the exception of mode 4, which was set at 12 o'clock as it provided a louder hiss signal.
