Recorded on April 10, 1998 near the checkout area at Webster's Department Store. This features how the Webster's checkout area sounded from the store's opening on April 4, 1998 untill 2002. This is part of a pack of 4k sounds recorded over 17 years commemorating my friend's department store which she owned. It showcases how the sounds in the store have changed over the years as the technology of the store changes. Each recording is done within a week after the cash registers are upgraded. As of the date of this posting, Webster's is now closed, and will re-open as a WalMart in January of 2016.
