An image converted to sound with Bitmaps & Waves, then stretched and time compressed multiple times in Cool Edit 2.1 using unconventional Splicing Frequency & Overlapping settings. Further processed with Ozone 4, dtblkfx (smearing and negative contrast). Finally my favourite reverb, VirSyn Reflect. The file was longer initially, but I had to cut and cross-fade certain portions because of distortion; I pushed some frequencies just a little too far, still, there might be some very slight audible distorion if listened to carefully on headphones. My apologies, but that's just one of the problems when it comes to working with files that have been destroyed with high splicing frequency stretch settings, but I like to mess things up that way :) I named it "hintergrund" after one of the image's tags, seemed appropriate.
